This Bootcamp Course is solely for preparing to take the State of Ohio Licensing Exam. It is 4 days (10 hours each day) in duration.

What this course is:

This course is for experienced boiler operators and stationary steam engineers. It will ensure you have greater confidence for taking the State of Ohio license exam by becoming familiar with the topics you can expect to see on the exam. You will be given quizzes to ensure knowledge retention.

Most who take this course pass the exam the first time it is taken.

Days 1 - 3 will cover High/Low Pressure Boiler Operator topics covered on the exam and day 4 will cover Stationery Steam Engineer topics covered on the exam.

What this course is not:

This is not a training course to learn how to provide direct care, take custody and control of the fuel, combustion air, water level, steam pressure, system load, and supporting equipment of a steam boiler in order to become a boiler operator.

This course is not for entry level boiler operators who have little to no work experience.

Steamworks will provide the Boiler Operators Workbook (676 pages) and the Bootcamp Binder for taking notes. Light snacks, beverages, and lunch will be provided daily.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

Payment by Credit Card:

You may register and pay for your class online with a credit card using the sign up link ABOVE. Once you’ve selected the participant quantity, add it to your “shopping cart.” You can check out with a credit card. If you are having issues or would like to receive another option for online credit card payment, please contact us.

Payment by Purchase Order:

You may reserve a seat(s) with a company purchase order (PO). Prior to this method of payment, Steamworks must be in your company account as a qualified vendor. Steamworks will send a quote, if applicable. Send the approved PO from your company. Once the training is complete, Steamworks will invoice referencing the PO.
