This course contains in depth training for the direct care, custody, and control of the fuel, combustion air, water level, steam pressure, system load, and supporting equipment of a steam boiler. It is ideal for individuals who have a basic knowledge of the steam industry but want to uplevel their skills to that of a more advanced operator. 99% of the students taking this course pass the State of Ohio licensing exam on the first pass. A boiler operator must have specific qualifications to sit for the State of Ohio licensing exam. This course will provide 1,300 hours of the 2,000 work hours required within those qualifications.

Stationary Steam Engineer’s Course*
May 7 - May 9, 2025, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (SSE)
*In order to only take the Stationary (SSE) course, a participant must have taken the High Pressure course from Steamworks as a prerequisite or currently hold a High Pressure Boiler Operator’s License. Taking these together, is recommended and a bundle discount has been applied.
What’s Included
Steamworks will provide books, writing utensils, notepads, state application, etc. In addition, Steamworks provides light breakfast snacks and lunch every day (excluding Fridays and plant tour days).

You may RESERVE A SEAT(S) by securing a company purchase order (PO). Prior to this method of payment, Steamworks must be in your company account as a qualified vendor. Steamworks will happily send a quote if applicable. Provide the PO from your company to reserve a seat(s). Once the training is complete, Steamworks will invoice through the PO. Payment Plan:
Individuals may register by setting up an approved payment plan with recurring monthly payments (6 months or 12 months). The applicable certification is not given until paid in full.
